Complex Care - Mental Health and Learning Disabilities
At Altair we are passionate about promoting good mental health, well-being and independence - and we use our resources and expertise to support people towards attaining their goals to live independently and productively.
Our supported housing services are designed for people who require an intense package of support to enable them to live in the community, or to progress to a more independent living setting. They are also for those who are living in the community and due to crisis require a period of intensive care and support in a community-based service to avoid an inappropriate inpatient admission.
Brooklyn House
Located in Newton Abbott, Brooklyn House offers accommodation to people with learning disabilities, autism or mental disorders needing stable support to help them on their journey to recovery.
Brooklyn House consists of 5 individual, furnished bedrooms and shared kitchen, bathrooms and living areas. The house is close to the high street and train station, and is easily accessible from the M5, via the A380.

Our aim is to help people achieve greater independence and move towards living independently. Altair Healthcare works in partnership with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and Continuing Healthcare (CHC) teams in your local area to arrange packages of complex care that are fully or partly funded by the NHS. Once the package of care is agreed, we also work with other health professionals such as your GP, district nurses and social workers to ensure a seamless care plan is in place to meet your health requirements.
