Mental Health Training
For mental health nurses, HCAs and carers
This 1 day bespoke, face-to-face training course is delivered as a foundation course for new staff starting out in the mental health sector, and to existing staff as an annual refresher course.
Course delivered by practising mental health nurses with more than 48 years' experience within the mental health acute, community and secure services.
As practising mental health nurses, we understand the intricacies of the mental health specialism, as well as the theoretical and practical aspects of mental health care provision. We will teach and equip delegates with the relevant knowledge to enable them to manage and provide a high standard of support to mental health service users.

Course Content & Training Modules
Course Aim:
To give candidates basic knowledge and understanding of mental health disorders, prevalence, causes, symptoms, treatment of common mental health problems, and legislation governing care in mental health.
